FAQ

Questions worth asking upfront.

Is this a betting or gambling site?

No. FootyOvers doesn't take bets, show odds, or use betting language anywhere — you'll never see "odds," "tips," or "picks" on this site, only historical Goal Lines and hit rates. That's a deliberate choice, not just a style preference: we know some people will use the numbers however they like, but we're not going to be the ones encouraging it, and keeping a clean line away from gambling terminology and mechanics also keeps our payment processing straightforward and compliant. This is analysis for fun and research — read the full disclaimer at the bottom of this page.

Can I use this for gambling?

Historical data acts as a guide, not a guarantee. We can't control what you do with historical statistics once you've read them — that's true of any football stats source, not just us. What we can control is FootyOvers itself: no odds, no "picks," no betting affiliate links, nothing designed to nudge you toward a bet slip, ever. If you do choose to bet elsewhere, that's entirely your own decision and your own risk — please only ever gamble what you can genuinely afford to lose, and if it stops feeling fun, that's a sign to stop.

How is this different from a tipster site?

Tipster sites sell confidence. We publish a record instead — every Featured Goal Target we log gets graded automatically against the real result, hit or miss, and stays on the public Track Record page either way. Nothing gets deleted because it didn't work out.

How accurate has FootyOvers actually been?

See for yourself on the Track Record page — it's the same live ledger the model itself is graded against, not a marketing number. Early in a season, or for a club with limited match history, we say so directly with a "Limited Data" badge instead of showing a confident number we can't back up.

What happens after September — will I be charged automatically?

No card is required to create an account or use FootyOvers through September. If you choose to add a card and confirm billing before October, your rate locks in for the season. If you never add a card, you're simply not charged — there's no auto-enrollment onto a paid plan.

Is FootyOvers ever really free, or just at the start?

Yes, genuinely — August and September are full free access for everyone (we'd rather wait until our own track record has a big enough graded sample to stand behind than charge for numbers we're not confident in yet), but there's always a free (freemium) plan after that too, not a hard cutoff. On freemium you get 3 High Octane, 1 Optimum & 1 Safety Anchor Goal Line, plus 1 fully-usable saved club — limited, but never zero. Premium removes those limits.

If I cancel, do I lose my saved teams and history?

No — nothing gets deleted. Cancelling schedules the stop for the end of your current billing period (never immediate), and your saved clubs and Featured Goal Targets stay exactly as they are. Once your paid access ends, you land on the free (freemium) plan above rather than being locked out — you'll just see fewer Goal Lines fully unlocked until you resubscribe.

Where does the data come from, and how often is it updated?

Real historical match results across all 92 English clubs, refreshed nightly. Full detail — including how fixtures get cross-checked for accuracy — is on the Our Data page.

Can I get a free trial?

You don't need one — FootyOvers is completely free for everyone through September, no card and nothing to start or run out. From October, new sign-ups without an invite land on our free (freemium) plan instead of a time-limited trial — a taste of High Octane, Optimum & Safety Anchor Goal Lines plus 1 saved club, for as long as you like. Subscribing to Premium unlocks everything immediately, no trial step. The one exception is an invite from an existing user or a VIP link, which gives a 7-day full-access free pass before landing on freemium.

Can I invite friends?

Yes — every account gets a personal invite link under 🚀 Invite Friends once you're signed in, and there's no limit on how many friends you can invite. Your friend gets a 7-day free pass (full access, then freemium if they don't subscribe). Once a friend you invited subscribes, you get +1 free month added to your own account, up to your 5th paid referral, which unlocks a 100% free season (12 months) — that's the whole active season, so referrals beyond your 5th don't add anything further on top of it.

Can I see my team's upcoming fixtures and past results?

Yes — save any club to ⭐ My Saved Teams (up to 20) and you get a dedicated feed of just their upcoming fixtures, Goal Lines, and past results, separate from the main feed.

Can I get alerts?

Yes — 🔔 Enable Match Alerts sends a free push notification shortly before your saved teams kick off. No cost, and it keeps working even with the app closed once it's turned on.

Do you have an app?

FootyOvers installs straight from your browser — no app store needed. 📲 Install App adds it to your home screen with its own icon. On iPhone, install first (Share → Add to Home Screen) before match alerts can work; on Android you can turn alerts on without installing at all.

Do you have a tour?

Yes — the first time you sign in, a short guided tour walks through the Goal Line lanes, My Saved Teams, match alerts, fixtures & table, and Invite Friends. You can skip it any time, and it only shows once per device.
